Not so easy to get in though. These are again reasonably common in the East Lothian Area and average around 2-3 pounds from the shore. As always we use the KISS rule.
Keep it light.
Spinning gear or float tackle.
A carp or match setup is ideal for these fish.
Line again keep it light in the range of 4 to 8 lbs.
Hooks we use mainly size 1/0.
Floats : We prefer are small coarse types, but in a moderate sea we use
weighted ones.
BAIT
Float- Fished un-weighted Rag is good.
