Quite an easy species to catch.

Very Powerful fighters. A wide range of sizes are taken from around here, but average is around 1.5 lbs.

TACKLE

As always we use the KISS rule.

Keep it light.

A carp or match setup is ideal for these fish.

Line: Again keep it light, in the range of 4 to 8 lbs.

Floats: We prefer small, coarse types, but in a moderate sea we use weighted ones.

BAIT

Baits and lures vary widely, anything from small meps spinners to free-lined mackerel flappers.

Bass

A corker 7lb 12 oz

Weather Fine: Bright and Sunny.

Sea State: Flat.

Tackle: Controller float with artificial lure.
