| This is the place to be from July to October.
A VERY DANGEROUS CLIMB DOWN AND BACK UP so do be aware of the dangers of this mark and never venture down on a WET day or if sea is ROUGH. On a wet day the concrete structures are like ice. Float fishing in the Dollies themselves or out about 20 yards will get you in about wrasse to five pound / pouting to two pound / pollack to six pound plus / herring / mackerel / mini species and surprise fish such as cuckoo and corkwing wrasse. Fishing the bottom produces cod to five pound plus /red rock cod to two pound plus / wrasse / pollack / conger and small ling. Spinning works well here. In fact the ten pound pollack on this site was caught here on a spinner. Mackerel traces work here and if timed right can make up for the best catches. I almost forgot ' Coalfish can also be caught here and in abundance at that! |
