Meet the "EXPERTS"
You will have probably come across an "EXPERT" at one point in
your life. You know!, The guy who's fished all his life but never had a
catch, and
will take it as an insult if you offer advice, but will be happy to force his totally
wrong advice onto an unsuspecting victim.
Picture this:
You're mullet fishing,
and you're having a good day. Two or three fish for the pot in your bag, and
you've returned several others. The sea is flat calm and you are having to
fish lighter than normal, as the fish are spooking very easily. Down he
comes and asks any luck mate? Looking round, you see the tackle box,
and you know there and then your day's fishing is over. He starts to tackle
up a beach-caster. As he threads his 80 pound line through the eyes of his
rod, he looks at your bag and asks "what's that you
got?"...Mullet you say..."OH I got four last week all about the 8 pound
mark".
Then
trying to
keep a straight face as he ties on a 40 gram spinner, casting with all his might,
the spinner travels about 6 yards. He reels in and to your horror, you
watch him tie on a 6 ounce weight just above the lure, and whack!, out it
goes, SPLASH!, and he retrieves at 60 mph to stop getting snagged. The fish
are off, so are the crabs, and any other aquatic life-forms. You tell him he
has scared the fish off, and what does he say? "What are you on about?
This is
how I got them four last
week".
That guy was an "EXPERT". If you have any
